Alma greeted us and sat us in one of the unique dining rooms. She was so helpful our food came out quickly and was hot and presentation was nice . The coffee was good and those homemade biscuits are the best ever! No one else has biscuits this good .Coming back for the catfish plate those fries look so good !Unique old photos throughout the place and Best server ever Alma she is a delight !

The place has really tasty food! I got the Travis special (albeit the wimpy which is the smallest portion) and it was so good! The green chile sauce made for an excellent bite! I can't imagine getting bigger sizes as the wimpy was plenty of food by itself. Though you can't really see it in the picture, it was a large burrito filled with beans and ground beef. The green chile burger was tasty but wasn't anything special. It was very busy which says that this place is awesome! The service was okay--the amount of people did make our server sort of behind. But it was still good service. The ambiance was that of an old fashioned diner. I would come here again!

Breakfast was really yummy at this place. Lots of costumers but the servers were really fast and welcoming. My daughter and I ordered the Grandma's biscuits and it was really good. Their food is very authentic. Love the southwest decors.

Best. Burger. Ever!!!! Seriously. When you imagine a good burger- this place delivers. And my fries! Super fresh. Service was great, decorations are cool! Oh and the ladies room actually is clean! The country fried steak was perfection. And did I mention they have biscuits?? Get a biscuit. Get a basket of biscuits. They do not disappoint. 10/10 will be back next week for more!

Grandma's K&I is a staple down in the south valley. The selection of food fare starts to get more sparse after you pass Gibson going south on I25. Grandma's, you can count on for a hot plate of breakfast or lunch. If you haven't been to Grandma's in a while, but you have been here before, check em out, they did undergo a renovation/upgrade not too long ago. The place looks great, especially the new sign out front. They still have the Travis but it is now served in thirds rather than quarters. Yes, you can still get the "Wimpy" which used to be a quarter of the full Travis, but now it is a third. Be prepared to share or come really hungry, because don't forget, it is a burrito, smothered in chile and then covered in fries! Even the Wimpy is a lot of food in my opinion. I had the stuffed biscuits in gravy on the latest visit with the work fam, lunch-bunch. It hit the spot for me. I love how soft the biscuits were. The service was great, which you can always count on here. Come to Grandma's if you are in the area and don't want fast food. You will leave satisfied.

Our server George was wonderful. He knew it was my friend's birthday and he brought her out a pancake to celebrate. We both had chicken fried steak. It was cooked perfectly and tasted great. The gravy was yummy. I had my hash browns cooked a little crisper and they were delish. My over easy eggs were perfect too. The biscuit was really good. The only thing I was bummed about was there was no green chile in the gravy so we got some on the side. Cute ambiance. I'll be back.

Food was great! We came at a good time, as there was a parking right out in the front. Walked in to warmth and a bit of bustle indoors from people leaving and a quick clean up from their busboys. They were quick and ready to take our order, so you know they have their frequenters. We ordered grandmas biscuits and were not disappointed with the choice. The biscuits tasted homemade and not out of a can. The portions were big and came out hot. For the price of the breakfast burrito I would have thought it would be bigger or at least have a homemade tortilla but my son seemed to like it. The service however was the highlight! Our waitress was amazing she was so friendly and reminded me of my tia. She made the visit warm and welcome! We all loved the old artifacts they had around the restaurant. My son loved them and enjoyed looking at them all! Overall a great experience!

Back again! Love this place :) Sad we had to wait about 40 minutes to get seated but happy with the service! I can only speak to the busyness on Sunday mornings but I'm sure they have their down times too! Our waiter has great! Happy to see familiar wait staff again and again. I love the vibe here. It is so nostalgic, yet up to date!

Haven't been to the K&I in years but had a hankerin' to. In my younger days I'd try my hand at a Travis. HUGE meal not for the faint at heart. That's why you can order a 1/2 or 1/4 Travis which still are hard to finish. Nowadays a plate of Juevos smothered in green hits the spot. The K&I is an Albuquerque institution serving up great quality food for decades. Glad I decided to come back. And back I'll be again. Bravo Grandma, Bravo!
